Welcome to the Senior Page for
The class of 2017
*******Senior Parents *******
Due to the fact that a few students missed both of the Senior Panel picture dates that were scheduled last fall and/or the cap and gown pictures that were last week, Andy, our resident photographer has graciously agreed to return again next Wednesday on April 26th from 10:00am-1:00pm for a final all call. Any student who wishes to have a picture made and appear on the final Class of 2017 panel that hangs in the Activity Center, or need to have a single cap and gown picture made, please make arrangements to be here. Cost will be $10 for each picture taken.

I want to introduce myself and the other senior sponsor to you. We are going to try and keep you informed the best we can with as much notice as possible. We will be handing out information about the fundraiser - Blue & Gold Sausage sales, Senior Trip, ordering cap and gowns, senior t-shirts, and senior pictures. If you have a son or daughter who is attending career tech or concurrent enrollment, you will need to stress to them their need to check with Ms. Peacock or Mrs. Mathias on things that are happening with the senior class. We are going to have a “Senior Page” connected to the Catoosa Home Page website to help you stay connected to what is up and coming with your SENIOR 2017 Year.
Blue & Gold Sausage: This is the fundraiser that we use to help the students pay for the Senior Trip. Sales will begin on the Monday of the following weeks: September 12th with the turn in date of September 26th, November 7th with turn in on November 28th, January 9th with turn in date of January 23rd and February 29th with turn in date of March 11th. The March sale will go for Grad Bash, which is Graduation Night. You can pick up order forms from Ms. Peacock or Mrs. Mathias. Prizes will be given to the top 4 sellers of the first three sales and the top seller on the last sale.
Senior Pictures: Senior panel pictures will be taken on Wednesday, September 7th at the high school beginning at 9:00 am. These are the pictures that will appear in the yearbook. Students will have an option to purchase these. For personal seniors pictures that students want to hand out, you are free to use whichever photographer you choose.
Ordering Cap & Gowns: Jostens will be at the school on October 13th@ 9:00am to pass out packets with the information on cap and gowns. On October 17h they will return to pick up orders with the deposits from 11:30 till 12:05 and be back for the parent meeting in the Twist Center at 4:30 - 6:30pm.
Deposits are $80.00, unless your total order is less than that. Balances and product will be delivered in March. If you delay and do not order your son or daughter’s cap and gown until late, the price will go up, possibly doubling. Cost of the cap and gown unit is $33.25, if ordered on time.
Senior Trip: Cost is $150.00, if you choose to not participate in the fundraiser. A deposit will need to be made by September 19th of $75.00 (if you chose not to participate in the fundraiser) or have 75 points. This is non-refundable, because buses are chartered and tickets are purchased ahead of time. Trip is scheduled for May 5th and we will be going to Six Flags in Arlington TX. Points for sausage go as follows: Sausage - 1.5 points, Bacon - 3 points, Chicken - 3 points.
Points = Dollars This price includes the Senior t-shirt but must be paid in full.
Graduation: May 11, 2017. Proper attire for graduation is expected.
*Gentlemen - dress slacks, shirt, and dress shoes (no tennis shoes or sandals).
*Ladies - dress, skirt, or capris that are not longer than the graduation gown, and
dress shoes. Flip flops or tennis shoes will not be allowed.
Just a reminder, a student must be eligible to participate in Graduation Activities and will need to have met all requirements set by the Board of Education. Also, students need to follow attendance guidelines as detailed by the Student Handbook, failure to do so could result in inability to participate in end of year Senior Activities - including but not limited to graduation.
We are looking forward to an exciting, busy year with your senior. Please do not hesitate to contact us, if you have any questions.
