Transportation Update

Catoosa parents and families,

We want to make our families aware of upcoming road construction that may impact school bus transportation beginning Thursday, October 22, 2026.

The construction project is expected to last approximately eight months and will include the closure of the westbound 193rd Street exit, along with additional closures affecting the area from Pine Street to southbound Route 66.

These closures are expected to increase traffic congestion throughout the area, potentially impacting several of our bus routes.

What Does This Mean for Your Family?

While we anticipate the greatest impact during our afternoon bus routes, some students may arrive home up to 45 minutes later than their normal drop-off time. Actual delays will depend on traffic conditions and construction activity.

Our Transportation Department is actively evaluating alternate routes and monitoring traffic patterns to minimize disruptions whenever possible.

Stay Informed with BusWhere

We encourage families to utilize the BusWhere app to track their student's bus during this construction period. To get started, visit the Catoosa Public Schools website, select Transportation, and scan the BusWhere QR code provided on that page.

Our Commitment to You

While construction and traffic delays are beyond our control, we will continue working to transport students safely and as efficiently as possible.

We understand that transportation delays can create challenges for families, and we appreciate your patience, flexibility, and understanding as we navigate these temporary disruptions.
