Inclement Weather Update: January 28, 2026
Catoosa Public Schools will reopen for in-person learning tomorrow (January 29, 2026) after being closed for the past six days.
Morning temperatures will be chilly, so please be reminded to dress accordingly. We have done an outstanding job clearing most sidewalks, driveways, and parking lots across the district.
That said, there may still be some slick spots, so please use caution as you arrive.
Bus routes will run at their normal times, and district and site offices will open on their regular schedules.
We are looking forward to welcoming everyone back tomorrow and Friday for in-person learning.
Thank you for your patience and flexibility during this extended weather event.
We can't wait to see everyone back on campus.

Inclement Weather Update: January 27, 2026
"We're fired up... but the roads aren't!"
We've worked hard to clear sidewalks, driveways, and parking lots, and we've driven several of our most dangerous routes today. For safety, we will continue with distance learning on Wednesday, January 28.
Tomorrow's warmer temperatures, which are expected to rise above freezing, will allow conditions to continue improving.
Thank you for supporting safe decisions for our students and

We will continue to closely monitor conditions and communicate any updates as needed to ensure the safety of our students and staff.

As we prepare for the 2025-2026 school year, we want to share an important update about how we will be handling student medications at Catoosa Public Schools.
Beginning next school year, our school will no longer be administering morning medications to students. With the addition of two more grade levels at one of our sites, we will now have seven grades in a single building for the first time. This significant growth means more students in the building, more activity in the nurse’s office, and a greater need to streamline routines for safety and efficiency. Adjusting how we manage medication is a practical and necessary step as we continue to support the health needs of all students.
This change is also in line with procedures followed by many surrounding districts, which have made similar updates to better meet the demands of growing school populations and ensure safe practices throughout the school day.
To help with this transition, any prescription medication that needs to be administered during school hours must have a specific time of administration clearly printed on the pharmacy label. This time must be assigned by your child’s healthcare provider. Medications that do not include a specific time on the label will not be accepted at school.
We kindly ask that you work with your child’s doctor and pharmacist to ensure that any school-time prescriptions include the required timing.
We understand this change may require a few adjustments at home, and we truly appreciate your support as we make these updates in the best interest of our students. If you have any questions or need clarification, please don’t hesitate to contact the school nurse.
Thank you for your continued partnership.
