Subject: School Closure Announcement – Distance Learning Day (February 12, 2025)
Dear Catoosa Parents and Families,
After assessing road conditions and coordinating with our Transportation Department, we have made the decision to shift to a distance learning day due to the extreme weather conditions. Forecasts indicate that hazardous road conditions will persist throughout the morning, making travel unsafe for our students and staff.
While we always strive to keep schools open, safety remains our top priority. Please have your students check their online learning platforms for assignments and instructions from their teachers.
Stay safe, stay warm, and thank you for your understanding.

Winter HOCO Week!

Due to the recent snowfall and freezing temperatures, Catoosa Public Schools will be closed on Tuesday, January 21st.
After the roads have been re-evaluated tomorrow, participation in after-school activities, athletics, and competitive events will be determined and communicated ASAP.
Updates will be on all CPS platforms (Website, Mobile App, Facebook, and SMS) and local TV stations.

Hello, Parents and Guardians,
Please read the following illness reminder from our Health Services Department.

WEATHER ALERT: November 4, 2024 at 12:06 PM
Dear parents and families,
We wanted to make the community aware there is a significant chance of severe weather in the area beginning later this afternoon and extending through the evening. Threats include thunderstorms, high winds, heavy rain and tornadoes.
In the event of severe weather, our schools will follow their established safety procedures to ensure the well-being of all students and staff. Please be advised that we plan on having regular dismissal times today. However, due to the potential for heavy rain and storms, our school buses may experience delays.
If severe weather occurs during dismissal, students may be held safely on campus until the threat has passed. This is to ensure student and staff safety while we wait for the weather to clear.
If students are dismissed at regularly scheduled times, the Community Storm Shelter (Dome Cafeteria) will be available starting at 4:30 and ending when the watch is lifted for our area. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we prioritize the safety of our school community. Stay safe and stay weather alert.
