Class of 2026 Families,
ALL Juniors must take the following two College and Career Readiness Assessments (CCRA): U.S. History and Science. These tests are graduation requirements. ALL Juniors will take both tests on Wednesday, April 9th. The following types of students should make arrangements in order to attend the testing session: Tulsa Tech. students, concurrent enrollment students, virtual students, and job out students.
To help our students prepare for both tests, we are holding a CCRA Bootcamp on Monday, April 7th and Tuesday, April 8th. Students will be in the SAME GROUP they were in for the ACT Bootcamp, and the CCRA Bootcamp will run in a similar way to the ACT Bootcamp. Please click on the attachment to see the group rotation times and rooms for the bootcamp dates.

It's been all about blood this week for Forensic students. They learned how to do blood typing, and later, investigated blood spatter from various heights.

Coach Wilsey's Algebra 2 classes are wrapping up Chapter 4 (Polynomials) by completing a "Got Oil?" activity. Mr. Scott and I procured this activity by completing a training with OERB in November of 2024. Students first identify function families (quadratic, cubic, and quartic) on a bar graph from 1904 to 2016. The next part of the activity teaches students how to put data in a scatter plot and then use statistical regression to determine the best function representation of the information.

Winter HOCO Week!

Culinary students learning to saute vegetables and Child Development students getting their baby think it over ready to go home for the weekend.

History comes alive! Thanks to the Gilder Lehrman Institute, which generously loaned us the World War II: Voices of Service Traveling Exhibition, our 11th Grade U.S. History classes took part in an engaging scavenger hunt. 🗺️✍️ They explored inspiring stories of courage and sacrifice from this pivotal era as a start to their WWII research projects. 🌍📖

Mrs. Barrett's physical science classes explored heat transfer by cooking marshmallows via different methods of heat transfer. When you're cooking marshmallows, you may as well make s'mores! Needless to say, the students really loved this investigation.
